Meet Our Team

Dr. Jenny Kungl
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and
Owner of Norwich Veterinary Services

I was born and raised at the west end of town. As a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, my first position was with a mixed animal practice for 5 years.  It suited me well as my grandparents were local dairy farmers, and my family home was a menagerie of cats, dogs, birds, pocket pets, fish and always a majestic horse.

As my husband Curtis and I started our own two-legged family, I accepted a position at a small animal clinic for approximately 5 years while our boys, Wyatt and Lane, were growing up.  In 2015, I had the fortunate opportunity to return to the village of Norwich and work alongside the previous owners.

As the owner of the Norwich Veterinary Service, our team cares about providing high quality medicine for your companion animals and small ruminants (goats).  We enjoy serving the residents of Norwich and our surrounding communities, and are known for our excellent customer service and community involvement.

Dr. Kathi Kirby
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Kathi was born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario. She received her Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology, before graduating from Ontario Veterinary College in 1980 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Since then, she has worked as a small animal practitioner in London and area, coming to Norwich Veterinary Service in 1991 to fill a maternity leave position. She loved working in Norwich so much (the clients, patients and staff are great!) She never left.

Since Dr. Kungl has taken over the reigns at Norwich Veterinary Service, Kathi is excited to continue working with the exceptional staff and colleagues at the clinic.

Kathi lives in London with her husband Doug, and although her 2 sons Brad and Phil have flown the coop, she still has her wonderful cat Stanley and 4 budgies to keep her company. She enjoys attending ‘Nature London’ meetings and outings, as well as hiking, bird watching, gardening, travelling, and reading.

She was born in Pickering, Ontario, but eventually moved to Guelph and Cambridge area for school.

She now lives in Norwich with her fiancé and 2 furballs, Fireball and Pip. She has worked at the Norwich Veterinary Service since June 2019 and so far her favourite part of the clinic is the amazing clients and staff! She loves the close knit community in Norwich and is excited to become a part of it! Dr. Sarah is interested in exploring more surgical cases as well as continuing to learn about the weird and wonderful cases in veterinary medicine. While not at the clinic she can be found outdoors camping, hiking, kayaking, and swimming. She aspires to travel to every inch of the world! She also enjoys exploring Oxford County or relaxing at home with her fiance and the kitties.

Rebecca Garinger

Rebecca graduated from Ridgetown College and worked for many years as a Registered Veterinary Technician before transitioning into a managing role. Rebecca loves working in a small community and the variety of work that her role takes on.

She enjoys practicing her technician skills at the back and talking to clients about nutrition or behaviour, especially puppy socialization and training tidbits. Rebecca is greatly involved in office tasks and inventory management.  “One of the greatest things about my role in the clinic that I am able to dive into multiple areas keeping me on my toes at all times.”

Outside of work Rebecca enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, three children, and her pets Looch and Squeakers!

Andrea Mayer Padfield
Customer Service Receptionist and Office Manager

Andrea Mayer Padfield is one of the smiling faces you will meet as part of our Customer Service Representative team.  She has been part of our team since September 2018. Andrea attended the University of Waterloo where she graduated with a BA in Psychology, and a minor in Gerontology.  She also received a diploma in Human Resources. As a newcomer to the field, Andrea enjoys learning as much as possible with every new patient as well as building relationships with our clients.  It is Andrea’s goal to help each client and their pets to feel as comfortable as possible. “I have really enjoyed getting to know our clients and their pets over this past year. I love that I get to meet and interact and snuggle when possible, with all these adorable pets each day!”

She spent most of her career working in Human Resources for a large corporation in Waterloo.  She made the decision to stop working and stay home with her young family after she had her first child.  After 8 years of being a stay at home parent, the opportunity of working part time with the amazing team at Norwich Veterinary Service arose it was the perfect time as her youngest started school.

At home she has a full house including 3 children and 12 pets (3 indoor cats Sookie, Vampire Bill and Thomas; 2 dogs Ruby and Murphy; 3 outdoor cats Rusty, Marble and Cheddar and 4 chickens).  While not at the clinic Andrea loves spending time with her husband and three kids, friends and family. She enjoys being outdoors and taking the kids to all of their sports and activities! She can also be found volunteering with various programs at the school, and helping with various teams around the community.
