As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we are doing our best to adapt and adjust to these changes in order to better ensure the safety of our staff and clients.
To further enhance the safety measures we have previously set in place, we will still be implementing a closed door policy whereby patients will be triaged remotely by telephone prior to being admitted to the hospital. Clients will not be permitted to enter the clinic, and all communication will take place over the phone. We must implement this change in order to further reduce the risk of exposure/transmission of COVID-19 and improve social distancing efforts.
We encourage our clients to make payments by e-transfer, or we can process credit card transactions over the phone.
If your pet has been examined within the past year and has a health concern, we are attempting to answer many of your questions over the phone. We can also prescribe medications without an exam for special cases. For any concerns, we ask that you call ahead or e-mail us so that we can determine if an appointment is necessary.
We would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that we are here to support you during this time. You are encouraged to contact the clinic by phone or e-mail so that we may help in situations where face-to-face appointments are not possible.
We appreciate your patience and understanding for our need to take these additional safety precautions. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Our priority is to provide a safe environment for our clients and staff, while continuing to provide the best care possible for our patients.
We wish you the best, and stay safe!
Meet Our Team
Dr. Jenny Kungl Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Owner of Norwich Veterinary Services
I was born and raised at the west end of town. As a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, my first position was with a mixed animal practice for 5 years. It suited me well as my grandparents were local dairy farmers, and my family home was a menagerie of cats, dogs, birds, pocket pets, fish and always a majestic horse.
As my husband Curtis and I started our own two-legged family, I accepted a position at a small animal clinic for approximately 5 years while our boys, Wyatt and Lane, were growing up. In 2015, I had the fortunate opportunity to return to the village of Norwich and work alongside the previous owners.
As the owner of the Norwich Veterinary Service, our team cares about providing high quality medicine for your companion animals and small ruminants (goats). We enjoy serving the residents of Norwich and our surrounding communities, and are known for our excellent customer service and community involvement.
Dr. Sarah DePaulo Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Sarah DePaulo completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph in 2015, and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2019. Throughout her university years, she worked many different positions in small animal veterinary clinics (from reception, assistant, and now veterinarian!). Her family will tell you she has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 3 years old. She was born in Pickering, Ontario, but eventually moved to Guelph, Cambridge, and finally Norwich! Born in a big city, but definitely more small town at heart!
She now lives in Norwich with her fiancé and 2 furballs, Stella (Rottweiler) and Pip (longhaired kitty). She has worked at the Norwich Veterinary Service since June 2019 and so far her favourite part of the clinic is the amazing clients and staff! She loves the close knit community in Norwich and is excited to become a part of it. Dr. Sarah loves all sorts of weird and wonderful cases in veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in surgery, dermatology, and internal medicine cases. While not at the clinic she can be found outdoors camping, hiking, kayaking, or taking Stella for a swim. She aspires to travel to every inch of the world! She also enjoys exploring Oxford County or relaxing at home with her fiancé and the fur babies.
Dr. Julia Saturno Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Julia Saturno studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Guelph before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Ontario Veterinary College. She was born and raised in the GTA and has slowly been making her way further west. Dr. Julia currently lives in Paris, Ontario with her partner Eric and their menagerie of pets – Rubie (dog), Cooper, Gnocchi (cats), Harlie (horse) and Bee (rabbit). Rubie comes into the clinic every day and loves to meet new friends!
As a Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professional, Dr. Julia understands the stress and anxiety that can arise for both you and your pets when they are sick and need to visit the vet clinic. She strives to make each visit a positive experience through gentle handling, reducing anxiety triggers, and ensuring the safety of everyone involved.
Working at various small animal hospitals, with the Six Nations wellness clinics, and volunteering at spay/neuter alliances, Dr. Julia has gained the knowledge and dedication to handle a variety of cases. She is passionate about all facets of general practice, particularly dermatology, oncology and end of life care.
